Today we’d like to introduce you to Lance Carwile.

Lance, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to

where you are today both personally and as an artist.

I knew my love for art was strong at a very young age. I have always seen the beauty in Nature, Animals, and Typography. My love for Typography would lead me down the path of my Career now, as a Graphic Artist.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do

and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?

In High School in Flint, Michigan is where I started to take an interest in Mural Art or some call Graffiti style Urban Art. The pure Joy of making something glim and bring it to life was surreal to me. After Graduating with my Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Communications my path lead me to move to Arizona for work. The transition from handmade art seemed to become non-existent. Being in a new place and missing friends and peers with similar interest, I challenged myself to learn to how to Tattoo. I watched and studied curtail details and practiced long hours on synthetic materials. As an artist there is such a satisfying feeling after giving someone a great tattoo. It’s not a forgiving Media, but you know have a Media that was a walking advertisement for your talents.

Have things improved for artists? What should cities

do to empower artists?

Were simply in a digital age, the reach you can get by a simple #Hastag is Amazing. I would love to get more involved with Art around Phoenix, Arizona. We have a lot of culture out here, and lots of Incredible talents.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up?

Where would one go to see more of your work?

How can people support you and your artwork?
